Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and loving care for children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to each child's dietary needs and preferences
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
  • Assist with daily routines such as diapering, bathing, dressing, and nap times for infants and toddlers
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, including cleaning toys and children's areas
  • Support children's development through educational play, teaching basic skills, and encouraging curiosity
  • Administer first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health concerns
  • Collaborate with parents to follow specific care instructions and communicate about the child's progress or needs
  • Assist with potty training and behavioral guidance using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Adapt caregiving approaches to accommodate children with disabilities or special needs when required

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children across different age groups, especially infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
  • Prior nannying or babysitting experience demonstrating responsibility, reliability, and nurturing qualities
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
  • Certification in first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain if not already certified
  • Experience with meal preparation tailored for young children with special dietary requirements is a plus
  • Familiarity with working in daycare settings or similar caregiving environments is advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
