In addition to our client-facing services, we are creating an academy that will train the next generation of speech coaches, as well as expanding our educational offerings across affiliated entities. We are seeking a Director of Education to design and lead these initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, creative, and comfortable taking charge of a variety of educational responsibilities. You will be responsible for driving our education strategy and supporting the overall growth of the companies.

The Role

The Director of Education will be responsible for developing and overseeing curriculum, educational products, and learning infrastructure across New York Speech Coaching and its affiliates. This is a senior, cross-entity leadership and execution-based role that requires expertise in instructional design, content development, and adult learning strategy. The Director of Education is responsible for both external and internal learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Development

  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive training textbook for speech coach education.
  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive training program structure for speech coach education.
  • Develop structured curricula for corporate workshops, AI-courses, video courses, webinars, and other programs.
  • Ensure all materials reflect the philosophy, methodology, and standards while being engaging and accessible to diverse learners.

Learning Management & Educational Infrastructure

  • Select, implement, and manage an LMS for the academy.
  • Design and oversee digital learning modules that complement live instruction.
  • Establish systems for ongoing content updates and learner engagement.

Educational Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with the Heads of Training across entities to elevate all learning-based offerings.
  • Translate subject-matter expertise into structured, scalable educational products.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications to position educational initiatives effectively for external audiences.
  • Track learning outcomes and refine curricula to ensure lasting impact.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or educational leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing LMS platforms.
  • Experience creating textbooks, manuals, or other structured learning resources.
  • Strong understanding of pedagogy, adult learning principles, and educational content strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and visual.
  • Ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders and entities.
  • Background in communication, coaching, or performing arts education is a plus.
  • AI experience and openness, but not reliance, encouraged.
