Your Day Includes:
- Documenting damage to structural systems caused by natural disasters or construction errors.
- Performing cause and origin analysis using building codes and structural behavior knowledge.
- Evaluating design drawings and proposing repair recommendations.
- Writing detailed technical reports and engaging with clients, contractors, and code officials.
- Managing multiple projects within budget and deadlines.
Must Haves:
- PE license (Florida required; other state licenses a plus).
- BS in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience with diverse building systems (steel, concrete, masonry, wood).
- Strong communication skills and willingness to travel on short notice.
