Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Preschool Floater to support our early childhood education program. This versatile role involves assisting in various classroom settings, providing flexible coverage, and ensuring a nurturing environment for young learners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development, experience working with children, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage across multiple preschool classrooms as needed, supporting lead teachers and assistant teachers.
  • Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to early childhood education standards.
  • Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to foster a safe and engaging environment.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development.
  • Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized attention when necessary.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols in compliance with childcare regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a positive educational experience.
  • Assist with assessments, including standardized testing and progress monitoring, to track developmental milestones.
  • Support activities related to child welfare, including promoting healthy habits and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education methods such as Montessori or other educational philosophies.
  • Background in special education or early intervention is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
  • Experience with classroom experience, tutoring, or teaching physical education is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and support diverse learning needs.
  • Childcare certification or early childhood education coursework is desirable but not required. This position provides an enriching environment for those passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on young learners' lives through flexible support roles within our preschool community.

Pay: $ $26.90 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
