Prototype Builder

Description: Assemble and build wire harnesses for a variety of different industries by following blueprints, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions in order to efficiently meet the build requirements and timeline of prototype wire harness assemblies.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow customer documentation to assemble prototype wire harnesses
  • Route specific wires to specific locations as called for on the blue prints, wiring diagrams, detailed work instructions, and other customer documentation
  • Maintain strong communication between Team Leads, Production Supervisors, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Scheduling to communicate progress of assembly
  • Communicate issues that may prevent the successful completion of planned work in an effective and timely manner
  • Communicate with customers when running into design issues
  • Help carryout decisions that are associated with overall goals and objectives as stated in our company policies and as directed by Management
  • Assist in ensuring proper quality work is being performed and is in line with company Quality Policies
  • Work necessary hours to meet production requirements and customer timelines for prototype assembly.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must have strong communication skills to communicate with other employee owners, production supervisors, scheduling and sales
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for long periods of time
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Highly organized with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality
  • Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
  • Operate with a sense of requirements
