Position Summary:

The Construction Plumber installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems on construction sites. This role ensures that all plumbing work is completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with project specifications and building codes. The Construction Plumber collaborates with project teams to maintain schedules and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, assemble, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing systems for water, drainage, and gas in residential or commercial construction projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing layout and installation procedures.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.
  • Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to maintain workflow and prevent delays.
  • Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials on-site.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Assist and mentor apprentices or helpers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
  • Journeyman or Master plumber license preferred, depending on state requirements.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of plumbing experience in construction preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, commercial/residential systems, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and under various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed primarily on construction sites.
  • Full-time position; overtime or weekend work may be required depending on project timelines.

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
