Experienced Upholsterer

U-Fab is seeking an experienced upholsterer to join our team. We are looking for candidates that have experience doing re-upholstery. We operate the largest upholstery shop in town and have won Best Upholstery Shop 12 years running due to our commitment to top-quality work and customer satisfaction. While each upholsterer works on their own pieces, our shop operates with great teamwork. Our folks use each other's experience and knowledge to produce top quality work and improve their own skills. At U-Fab we only do things the right way, short cuts and mediocre quality will not be tolerated.

Location & Hours:

This position is in our store/shop located at 7921 W. Broad St. This is a piecework position so you can control your earnings and hours.

Job Duties:

  • Re-web
  • Re-ties springs
  • Add cotton and padding to frames to prepare for covering
  • Cut fabric
  • Apply fabric to frames

Skills or Experience Required:

  • Must have at least 5 years of upholstery experience
  • Wood finishing skills are a bonus
  • Sewing skills desired but not required

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Piece Rate compensation, earnings of $20-$40/hour depending on skill & speed.
