Human Resources Associate and FML Administrator – Human Resources

As a Human Resources Associate, you will be an integral part of the HR Compensation team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in key HR processes. Your responsibilities will include administering Family Medical Leave (FML) and Paid Parental Leave (PPL), managing position transactions in DASH workflows, maintaining complex tracking systems, and providing critical support for departmental operations. You will also serve as a resource for employees and departments by answering questions, solving problems, and improving processes.
What You'll Do:
- FML Administrator: Process FML and PPL requests, ensuring timely communication with employees, departments, and healthcare providers while maintaining compliance with policies and regulations.
- DASH Workflow Management: Review, correct, and approve position data in HRIS (DASH) workflows while troubleshooting issues and identifying process improvements.
- Customer Service Excellence: Manage department email inboxes, phone calls, and walk-ins to provide timely resolutions and maintain high service standards.
- Data Management: Maintain automated project management spreadsheets and assist with research and special projects to support the HR Compensation team.
- Collaboration: Partner with team mates to resolve complex situations, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus applicable HR experience gained on the job or as part of an internship experience;
OR
- Minimum two years of office/administrative experience that included HR responsibilities.
- HR and administrative experience to include applying knowledge to enter information into data systems including ERP/HRIS, maintaining complex spreadsheets, explaining policies and procedures, and providing excellent customer service.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Technical Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new software and enhancing existing software skills.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively and compassionately.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Time Management: Exceptional time management skills essential for meeting deadlines and managing workloads efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all responsibilities.
- Customer Service Excellence: Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service to a variety of audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experiences Desired: Experience in a human resources setting, working in higher education, entering data into an HRIS system, working with FMLA, with Smartsheets.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of human resources practices, principles and applicable federal/state laws/regulations.

Compensation and Benefits
- UT market range: 07
- Anticipated hiring range: $42,000-$46,000
