Summary

Senior Technical Specialist 2, Schedule Systems for MTA Construction and Development, is responsible for managing and leading technical efforts for the Primavera P6 scheduling system. This position supports schedulers in the DSO, Business Units, and Development, and the collective user base in operating and maintaining the P6 system and providing timely expert advice on resolving issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of Primavera P6, including the following:

Maintain and administer the Primavera P6 cloud-based version, as well as Primavera Analytics for end users.

Support and collaborate with the core scheduling team in monthly data validation and developing reports.

Create and maintain dashboards using the created data models from P6 data for C&D.

Work with Project Controls and Business Unit teams to design a complete solution with the best set of tools, integrations, and other third-party systems.

Develop, implement, and enforce scheduling technical requirements, policy, processes, and standards.

Maintain, restrict, and control user access to the application, ensuring the security and integrity of the data.

Support data extracts and reporting required by management across C&D.

Support schedulers re-baselining when necessary.

Collaborate with Project Controls to evolve business reporting requirements as well as develop, implement, and update reporting templates.

Develop a clear strategy for understanding business processes and technologies, and related Primavera functionality.

Coordinate with MTA IT for software upgrades, licenses, and SaaS security.

Assist with projects as needed, including version updates, migrating/importing data from legacy systems, and ensuring data integrity. Regularly communicates status on progress, issues, and plans to leadership while adapting to changes inthe project plan and customer requirements.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in an appropriate technical discipline or an equivalent subject. Various disciplines may include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Computer, Communications, Electrical, Electronics, Signals, or Systems Engineering/Technology.

Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.

Must have a minimum of four (4) years in a managerial or supervisory role and/or project manager role in a large, multi-faceted organization and/or with highly complex systems.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Competencies:

Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6 Systems and BI Publisher.

Experience in installation, configuration, implementation and support of Primavera P6 applications in a SaaS environment.

Experience in Primavera P6 system configuration of web, security, Enterprise Structure, UDF, codes, development of reporting and dashboards, risk management, document management, resource management, standardization and templates, system support and maintenance, system administration, user administration, integration, archiving process, reporting, and patching support.

Extensive experience in Oracle Technologies and migration of on-premises P6 tothe Oracle cloud environment.

Extensive experience in Cloud migration, including development of migration planning, providing proven migration approach, configuring security in the cloud, installation and configuration of Primavera P6 System in the cloud, Integration with other technologies, technical support, and development of proof of concept, cloud cost benefit analysis, and technical expertise and support for cloud environment.

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management 8 Certified Implementation Specialist.

Oracle OBIEE implementation specialist and Oracle Certified Database Administrator, preferred.

Experience with Bentley Synchro preferred.

Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
