Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers with lesson planning and implementing instructional activities aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as literacy education, math, and early childhood development.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
  • Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance student understanding of lessons in areas like literacy, math, and curriculum development.
  • Help supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and other school events to ensure safety and proper conduct.
  • Facilitate activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and positive interactions among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers on classroom management strategies and contribute to the development of engaging lesson plans tailored to early childhood education standards.
  • Support children's childcare needs by assisting with routines such as diapering or toddler care when applicable within preschool or daycare settings.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or early childhood programs.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience applying them in classroom or childcare environments.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with disabilities or those requiring behavior management support.
  • Experience developing or assisting in lesson planning for literacy education and math instruction at the preschool or elementary level.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, teachers, and colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
  • Classroom management skills that promote positive behavior and create an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34, $43,879.81 per year
