The On-Premise Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while driving new business opportunities within an assigned territory. This role focuses on increasing sales volume, expanding distribution, and promoting the company's portfolio to on-premise accounts such as bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The ideal candidate represents the company with professionalism and enthusiasm, instilling confidence in both the brand and the diverse range of products offered.
Duties and responsibilities
• Initiate, negotiate, and close sales contracts and agreements
• Troubleshoot customer issues and provide prompt resolutions
• Communicate with customers regarding pricing, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays
• Follow up with customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of orders
• Enter and edit orders within required timeframes
• Deliver product to customers when needed
• Educate and train customers on the portfolio of products
• Work evenings and nights as needed within the assigned territory
• Attend all sales meetings
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Must be 18 or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a clean driving record
• Excellent customer service skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task with minimal errors
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Must be a team player and work well under minimal supervision
• Knowledge of safe work practices
PREFERRED
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous sales, merchandising, or pull-up experience
• Previous food service or distribution experience
• Intimate knowledge of wine, beer, and the Tryon portfolio
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, dolly, pallet jack)
• Previous experience using ERP systems (Encompass highly preferred)
Working conditions
The employee will perform work in the following areas:
• In a vehicle while en route to customer locations
• At customer locations
The noise level in these areas is normally moderate.
