SUMMARY OF JOB:

Responsible for technical assistance at BLEACHTECH facilities. Duties include working at all levels of the organization to troubleshoot current operations, train associates as needed and to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective processes are used. Works closely with EHS Manager to ensure that these elements are satisfied.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review plant operations daily to ensure quality product is produced efficiently and safely.
  • Provide engineering support for production and maintenance activities.
  • Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement improvements to the operation of the plant.
  • Develop operating instructions and provide training and guidance to plant employees.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
  • Complete root cause analyses for process upsets and safety incidents.
  • Complete and or reviews designs, P&IDs and other documents to ensure proper equipment operation
  • Create and/or maintains current plant and process documentation
  • Reviews process changes with EHS Manager to ensure that the changes meet requirements
  • Provide technical specifications for purchasing equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and practices
  • May be assigned to special projects or assignments by management.
  • Participate in incident / accident investigations and plant safety reviews or committees as assigned by management.
  • Generate technical reports that include but not limited to plant performance operation, equipment performance, plant operating rates, equipment or plant efficiency, etc
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by your management line to support overall business operations.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in chemical Engineering or a technically related field.· A combination of Education and Experience may be considered.
  • Highly preferred Chlor-Alkali Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years technical experience with degree; or minimum of 15 years without degree
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to be medically cleared to wear a respirator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: 100k - 130K Yearly **DOE**
