As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Site in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for customers and staff. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and delivering outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. This is an armed position where you will play a key part in creating a welcoming environment and responding to security-related situations with professionalism and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while carrying a firearm, adhering to all applicable protocols and regulations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Interact professionally with store employees, customers, and visitors to provide assistance as needed and address security-related concerns.
• Complete detailed incident reports and log all activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies at the retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a combined minimum of three years of law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification if required by Texas state regulations.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
