About Us
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Paramedic to serve as our Clinical Patient Journey Associate. This is a senior clinical position, not a standard dental assisting role. You will serve as the lead clinical liaison, guiding patients through their entire experience - from consult, through surgery, to recovery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing clinical examinations and obtaining detailed patient histories
- Writing and organizing chart notes with precision
- Helping to present treatment plans and support patient education
- Assisting with anesthesia administration, including IV insertion, medication pushes, monitoring patients, and recovery
- Leading routine emergency preparedness drills with the surgical team
- Providing intraoperative support for oral and maxillofacial surgery in the office and at Inova Fairfax Hospital
- Supporting patients through postoperative care and follow-up
- Serving as the lead clinical point of contact for patients and staff
What Sets This Role Apart
- Stable, predictable hours (Mon-Thu 8A-5P, Fri 8A-4P) - no nights, weekends, or rotating shifts
- Opportunity to assist with advanced anesthesia and surgical procedures both in-office and in the OR
- The chance to grow into a leadership position in a highly specialized practice
- Exposure to some of the most advanced TMJ and jaw surgeries performed anywhere in the world
- A practice culture built on trust, collaboration, and meaningful relationships
Requirements
- Active RN license (Virginia) or Paramedic certification with clinical and IV experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
- Comfort with anesthesia administration and surgical assistance
- Detail-oriented, reliable, proactive
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Paid time off and major holidays
- Retirement plan with employer match (starting 2026)
- Mentorship and growth opportunities in a unique, cutting-edge surgical environment
If you are an RN or EMY looking for a stable schedule, a leadership role, and the opportunity to assist in some of the most advanced jaw surgeries in the world, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and be part of redefining patient care in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
