Help transform precision components into finished scientific products while keeping our inventory data spotless. At Ideal Vacuum Products, this hands-on role blends ERP receiving and QuickBooks support with light mechanical assembly and inventory control. Because some subcomponents are sourced from Asia-based suppliers, proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Taiwanese (Hokkien) is a strong plus to confirm ETAs, resolve issues, and keep production schedules on track.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
ERP Receiving & Inventory Control
  • Receive parts in the ERP/WMS: verify counts, record lot/serial data, print labels/barcodes, and transfer stock to warehouse locations.
  • Maintain item masters (UoM, bins, revisions); execute accurate bin moves, transfers, and cycle counts.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory variances with clear documentation and root-cause fixes.
Assembly & Cross-Functional Support
  • Assemble sub-components (valves, chambers, viewports) per work instructions and torque specs; complete traveler paperwork.
  • Collaborate with Shipping/Receiving on pick/pack and with Purchasing/Accounting to match POs, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Use Excel (filters, LOOKUPs, pivots) to audit data and prep uploads; light HTML/CSS edits in listing tools as needed.
Supplier Coordination (Languages)
  • Communicate with Asia-based suppliers in English or Mandarin/Taiwanese to confirm delivery dates, quantities, and documentation.
  • Escalate shortages/QC issues promptly; document commitments/ETAs in ERP and update stakeholders.
  • Align inbound schedules with kitting/assembly plans to keep builds on time.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Education: AS/BS in Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, Supply Chain/Operations, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Business/Accounting, or related.
  • Systems: ERP/WMS experience (receiving, transfers, cycle counts); QuickBooks AR/AP exposure preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Strong Excel (sorting/filtering, pivots, basic lookups); meticulous data entry and documentation.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable with hand tools, torque, threads, gaskets/seals; reads basic prints.
  • Language Skills (Plus): Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Taiwanese (Hokkien) to liaise with suppliers.
  • Mindset: Detail-oriented, organized, dependable; follows procedures and improves them.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Forklift/OSHA-10 certifications; MSSC CLA/CLT.
  • Barcode/RFID experience; familiarity with basic CAD viewers.
  • International logistics awareness (Incoterms, carrier portals).
