JOB SUMMARY:
Provides financial information, tools and analysis to support the evaluation of business opportunities, effective financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and decision support as well as adequate internal control processes and driving process improvements.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual business plan preparation for assigned area.
- Analyze financial performance and present findings to management.
- Identify and participate on teams to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze, validate and communicate financial results monthly.
- Provide actionable information and analysis to drive decision making.
- Participate in designing and implementing finance processes, controls, and enabling systems, which will be critical to the successful future growth of the business.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; or successful completion of one Finance internship, co-op project or other work experience with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams.
- Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Prior ERP experience (Oracle, SAP).
- Financial analyst experience with a medium to large, highly complex company.
- Building materials industry experience.
