Position Summary

This is for 2 temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) positions through February 9, 2026. The above salary references a 1.0 FTE salary for the full school year. Anticipated daily schedule: either 4.5 hours per day or 2.5 days per week.

The MTSS-SEB (Social-Emotional, Behavioral) Systems Specialist focuses on supporting K-12 schools in installing, maintaining, and improving multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) related to behavior and SEL. Provides consultation, training, coaching and support for effective teaming structures across all three tiers as they relate to SEL and behavior systems of support. Provides structures, agendas, and monthly tasks for universal and intervention focused building teams. Provides professional development to staff in district adopted programs (Mandt) for preventing and responding to escalating behavior. Complies, and helps ensure each building complies with federal, state, county and district policies, regulations and procedures.

Supervisory Relationship

This position reports to the Elementary and Secondary Curriculum & MTSS Administrators

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  1. Extensive knowledge of behavior support systems, PBIS, and multi-tiered systems of support.
  2. Extensive knowledge of effective teaming structures and success in leading and collaborating with teams to achieve set goals.
  3. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse students, staff and community populations.
  4. Maintains the integrity of confidential information relating to a student, family, colleague or district patron. Uses or relays personal information only in the course of performing assigned responsibilities and in the best interest of the individuals involved.
Minimum Qualifications

Education

? Bachelor's degree in Education or closely related field; and,

? Valid Oregon teacher's license with appropriate grade level/subject area endorsements.

Experience

? Four (4) years of experience reflecting the skills shown above.

? An equivalent combination of education and/or experience equaling seven (7) years will be evaluated. However, there will be no substitution for licensure.

? Familiarity with MTSS behavior systems, Synergy, conducting FBAs, and writing BSP plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

? Certification and/or ability to be be trained in the Mandt System or other district-adopted training system for preventing and responding to escalating behavior

? Training and experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or Functional Behavior Assessment
