Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Teacher to inspire and educate students across various science and mathematics disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in STEM subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and related fields, with experience in curriculum development and classroom management. Duties

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
  • Utilize learning technology and instructional design principles to create engaging and effective classroom experiences.
  • Manage classroom behavior to promote a positive learning environment through effective behavior management strategies.
  • Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and other evaluation methods; provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for college entrance exams and standardized assessments; offer tutoring and academic advising as needed.
  • Incorporate laboratory experiences including dissection and research lab activities to enhance practical understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives; participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral reports; ensure compliance with school policies.
  • Engage in mentoring students to foster academic curiosity and personal growth; support special education needs when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Science or Mathematics discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification for high school education; state-specific licensure required.
  • Proven experience teaching high school students in classroom settings; private school experience is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of STEM subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
  • Experience with curriculum development, instructional design, standardized testing preparation, and learning technology tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills; experience working with diverse student populations including special education is preferred.
  • Laboratory experience including dissection techniques and research laboratory work is highly desirable.
  • Ability to mentor students academically and personally; commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52, $125,618.91 per year
