The role:
The Medical Provider Lead - Addiction Medicine works under the direction of the National Medical Directors and in close collaboration with the Associate Medical Director and Clinical Operations to ensure members receive compassionate, high-quality care that reflects Better Life Partners' mission and values.
This position combines clinical care delivery (75%) with team supervision and leadership (25%). It is ideal for experienced clinicians who are passionate about harm reduction, collaborative leadership, and supporting fellow providers in delivering patient-centered, trauma-informed care.
This is a hybrid position. Services are provided both in-person and remotely. Unless otherwise agreed upon, candidates must reside in one of the states in which we operate: New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, or North Carolina.
What you will do:- Leadership and Team Support (25%):
- Provide day-to-day support clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to a team of medical providers.
- Facilitate team meetings, case reviews, and provider check-ins
- Serve as a point of contact for clinical questions, escalations, and operational concerns
- Partner with the Associate and National Medical Directors to communicate organizational updates, maintain alignment, and uphold clinical excellence
- Foster a collaborative, supportive culture grounded in harm reduction and continuous learning
- Identify areas for workflow improvement, iterate on existing processes and help create new programs to better serve our members
- Help facilitate provider didactic sessions
- Clinical Care Delivery (75%):
- Maintain a direct care panel of members, providing bridge care, longitudinal care, and open-access visits
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based addiction treatment via hybrid telehealth and in-person settings
- Collaborate with counselors, community partners, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure timely documentation, follow-up, and coordination of care in accordance with policy and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between your provider team and leadership, ensuring effective two-way communication
- Coordinate with the operations, behavioral health, and outreach teams to optimize care delivery
- Support integration of new workflows, technology, or quality initiatives as assigned
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Monitor care quality metrics and address clinical or documentation issues promptly
- Ensure adherence to all applicable healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and organizational policies
- Promote safety, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of care delivery
- Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) with significant addiction medicine experience
- Active and unrestricted medical licence in at least one state in which we operate and willingness to obtain additional state licenses
- Experience in addiction medicine and primary care, psychiatry, or behavioral health integration
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
- Commitment to harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and person-centered medicine
- BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they're located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.

- Ability to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible) to others in any work location
- Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions
