Duties

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
  • Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
  • Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a fine dining or high-volume food industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and culinary skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency with various kitchen equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly desirable.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
