Position Overview:

We are seeking a Staff or Project-level Environmental Engineer to support a variety of environmental projects across Florida. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably with familiarity in the Florida Petroleum Restoration Program. An Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus. Candidates with experience in hazardous waste, air/wastewater permitting, environmental due diligence, and site assessment are encouraged to apply. The position will require periodic travel and overnight stays throughout Florida.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Remedial Action Plans and various other reports, including tables and figures
  • Prepare FDOT ROW, NPDES, SPCC, SWPP Plans and ROE permits
  • Prepare Pilot Study Plans and Reports and conduct/oversee Pilot Studies
  • Assist geologists/scientists during the Site Assessment phase
  • Supervise remedial construction activities
  • Oversee Remedial System Operations & Maintenance activities, and prepare reports
  • Compile, analyze and evaluate remedial data for reporting and decision-making
  • Perform other related duties assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • A B.S. degree in environmental, civil, mechanical or chemical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience with the Florida Petroleum Restoration Program
  • Basic knowledge of Florida environmental laws and regulations
  • Availability and willingness to travel throughout Florida and perform a wide variety of field work
  • Effective verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Must be able to effectively interface with co-workers, clients and regulators
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing
  • Possess solid organization and time/project management skills
  • Possess a valid driver's license
