Summary
We are seeking a skilled Line Technician to join our team at Way Scarff Ford Auburn. In this role, you will be responsible for performing automotive repairs and maintenance, ensuring that our customers' vehicles run smoothly and safely. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, remove, and replace complete engine assemblies with precision and attention to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform in-depth repairs on internal engine components, timing chains/belts, oil pumps, gaskets, and seals.
- Repair and replace external engine components such as water pumps, alternators.
- Conduct inspections and testing to determine the root cause of mechanical issues.
- Utilize factory repair procedures, technical bulletins, and service manuals to ensure accurate and effective repairs.
- Adhere to flat-rate and/or hourly labor guidelines while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and management regarding repair timelines, parts needs, and any unexpected findings.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all OSHA and dealership safety guidelines.
- Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to test systems and verify successful repairs.
- Participate in continued education and manufacturer training to stay current with evolving vehicle technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required for vehicle maintenance.
