FAIRVIEW CARE CENTER JOB POSTING: DIETARY AIDE/ DISHWASHER

Shift hours: 7am-2:30pm (56 hours per two week pay period)

Wage: $16.01-$18.02

**NEW WAGE SCALE 1/1/26**

Assists in the preparation and service of food. Performs a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the kitchen, storage and dining rooms in accordance with state health and sanitation regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and maintain effective channels of communication and cooperation with other staff and departments to assure that resident services proceed smoothly and harmonious work environment is sustained.

  2. Prepares and serves or directs preparation of all goods listed on the provided menu, adhering to instructions for special diets.

  3. Perform a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks including, but not limited to, washing dishes, pots and pans; sweeping and washing floors; cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas and equipment.

  4. Be aware and follow the sanitation and safety practices/hazards associated with cook position.

  5. Ensure all foods are properly stored, labeled and dated according to state and nursing home policy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work harmoniously with all staff and resident and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to prepare hot and cold foods and adjust recipes to quantities required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess at least tenth grade education. Must complete a MN Department of Human Services Criminal Background Check.
