  • Protecting the organization's information assets by identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across a diverse IT environment
  • Implementing and managing security controls on both Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server systems, ensuring they are hardened against known vulnerabilities
  • Troubleshooting patching and security configuration issues
  • Providing support for Endpoint Security as a Service (ESS)
  • Conducting regular vulnerability scans using ACAS/Nessus to identify and prioritize remediation efforts
  • Administering and maintaining the security of the Microsoft Domain network, including supporting active directory account management, privileges, and permissions

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 to 5 years of experience
  • Full understanding of securing Windows Server 2022
  • Understanding of ACAS, DISA SCAP tools, and STIG viewer
  • Understanding of how group policies are applied within the domain
  • Ability to troubleshoot functionality issues caused by security countermeasures
  • Detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of security principles, hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server environments, and a commitment to maintaining a robust security posture
  • Security+ certification required
  • Must possess an active clearance: Secret or above
Desired Skills
  • Experience with RHEL 9 IA security
  • Experience as a Microsoft administrator in an active directory environment
  • Experience using PowerShell scripts
  • Experience with Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, Group Policies, scripting, Registry settings, DISA SCAP, and STIG utilities
