This position will provide critical support for all events hosted by the CT Sun organization as well as game day merchandising, retail website upkeep and retail planning. 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist VP of Business Operations to build a 365 plan for retail promotions
  • Provide input and oversee retail staff on game days to maximize space and exposure for retail operations.
  • Execute CT Sun events to ensure positive guest experiences for all departments including season-ticket holder events, new member events, pre/post-game patio events, post-game meet & greets, sponsor & player celebrations.
  • Event planning to include all operational aspects such as reserving space, building floor plans, ordering F&B according to budget, entertainment, décor, and logistical flow.
  • Communicate all event and retail details to internal organization as well as the Mohegan Sun property communication channels.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Monitor retail/merchandise online store to ensure constant upkeep and accuracy. 
  • Upkeep of retail partner/merchandise procedures and set-up on the arena concourse.
  • Provide information to marketing and game presentation teams for promotional retail offers year-round.
  • Secondary event assistance to be provided to the youth and fan development department, community relations, and partnership hosted events.
  • All event budget items to be tracked and reconciled.
Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
  • Three years' experience working in events or retail (preferably for a professional sports team)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, six years of event production.
