Position Overview
CL Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Demolition Foreman to lead field crews and support safe, efficient project execution. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day demolition operations, operate equipment as needed, and coordinate closely with superintendents, project managers, and the demolition manager to keep projects on schedule and aligned with company standards.
As a Demolition Foreman, you are eligible to receive a CL Construction work vehicle. A vehicle will be assigned as soon as one becomes available, and you must pass and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check to qualify for and continue using the vehicle. The vehicle is to be used for work-related purposes only.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of demolition crews, ensuring safety, productivity, and high-quality work.
- Operate heavy equipment—including excavators, loaders, and skid steers—as needed to support project progress.
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, and the demolition manager to align schedules, manpower needs, and project resources.
- Lead daily huddles and safety meetings to reinforce expectations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor project progress, identify and troubleshoot issues, and ensure work is completed according to timelines and specifications.
- Perform and oversee equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication between field and management teams, documenting and reporting key updates as required.
- Travel may be required depending on project location and scheduling needs. Overnight stays may occur during certain project phases. Per diem and travel accommodations will follow CL Construction's travel policies.
- Previous demolition, construction, or heavy equipment experience required.
- Prior leadership or crew lead experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, schedules, and instructions.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to pass and maintain an MVR check.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Work vehicle eligibility (assigned when available).
