Direct Support Professional

Duties:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs

- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management

- Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals in their homes and in the community

- Implement individualized care plans and follow specific instructions from healthcare professionals

- Engage individuals in social and recreational activities to promote independence and well-being

- Document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate supervisor

Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred

- Knowledge of cleaning and maintaining a clean living environment

- Experience in a similar care role preferred

- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response systems

Skills:

- Compassionate and patient demeanor

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors
