The Footwear innovation team is a diverse group of designers, developers, engineers, and scientists, who are future-thinking, detail-orientated and solution-focused. a day in the life; what you will do

·     Partner with the Footwear Innovation Senior Manager and Performance Lab Manager to conduct footwear material & mechanical testing research for lululemon. This team focuses on foundational scientific insights, research, and validation to unlock the unmet footwear innovation needs of the lululemon guest.

·     Demonstrate passion for innovative footwear materials/product performance and testing excellence.

·     Support projects that provide foundational scientific insights and research to validate new footwear innovations that unlock unmet needs for the lululemon guest, through the lens of engineering.

·     Assist with maintaining scientific lab equipment, testing capabilities, and executing industry-leading test protocols, data analysis, and reporting objective feedback.

·     Support in the documentation, visualization, and communication of testing results to appropriate stakeholders at required milestones.

·     Personalize and adjust communication style to target audiences, both technical and non-technical.

·      Partner with the Performance Lab's material performance team to maintain a library of materials and footwear samples, along with database of testing results.

·     Utilize in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge to address complex problems creatively and analytically.

qualifications

·      MS or BS degree in materials engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.

· years' experience working in a material testing lab and knowledge of testing methods/procedures.

·     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·     Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software. SolidWorks, preferred.

·      Proficiency in programming and analysis software, such as MATLAB and/or Python.

·      Experience with testing equipment software, such as bluehill, wave matrix, etc.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·      Excellent interpersonal skills including collaborative problem-solving, negotiating, issue resolution, and relationship management.

·     Thrives
in a time-sensitive, demanding, and dynamic environment, and can self-start, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and balance competing priorities with a keen sense of urgency.

·     Manages effectively with ambiguity, complexity, and change, with high emotional intelligence.

·     Competency of enterprise Microsoft 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Planner, etc.).

·     Familiarity of engineering materials and manufacturing processes used in footwear production is a plus.
