Basic Job Functions:

Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:

  • Successfully selling projects that are profi table tons for the division.
  • Covering the DSM role in territories without an active DSM or while DSMs are unavailable.
  • Generating project takeoffs and creating eQuote scopes from drawings, specifications, and engaging the Builder.
  • Traveling with the DSMs to assist with Builder recruitment, project meetings, and box-by-box reviews.
  • Develop and maintain a sales strategy and set expectations with our builders to ensure equal business stature.
  • Multi-tasking between projects, scheduling, pricing, phone, & email correspondence.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A strong commitment to safety in all job aspects.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Metal Buildings, Construction, or Construction-related fields.
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications in the development of scope and pricing proposals.
  • A strong math background, technical aptitude, and experience using computer applications, as well as the ability to identify, define, and execute sales strategies.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Builders' offices and job sites, possibly on short notice.
  • Required to have and keep a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Highly motivated, extremely competitive, can-do attitude, and passionately find-a-way to be successful.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction, or Engineering-related fields.
