Overview

Bush League Sports Tavern is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a lively, casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality management experience, and a passion for creating memorable customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Previous experience in food industry management, including casual dining, sports bars, or similar venues, is highly desirable.

Duties

  • Oversee all restaurant operations including food preparation, service quality, and customer relations
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure efficient team performance
  • Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and service
  • Control inventory levels and manage food and beverage costs through effective inventory control practices
  • Handle Union POS system for order processing and cash handling
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
  • Monitor daily sales reports, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures
  • Lead staff hiring processes including interviewing and onboarding new team members
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, training & development, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive reviews

Skills

  • Proven management experience in the food service industry, particularly in casual dining or quick service restaurants
  • Extensive background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety protocols
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience supervising teams and managing shift operations
  • Skilled in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a restaurant setting
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally
  • Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, safety standards, and service excellence
  • Experience with culinary operations including cooking or food production is preferred
  • Familiarity with hospitality management concepts such as staffing, training & development, and hospitality standards
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership qualities that inspire team motivation and foster a positive dining experience
