Job Description

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Winchester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, report concerns, and communicate clearly with staff, drivers, and visitors while delivering a customer-focused experience. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter fencing, reporting unusual activity and/or hazards according to post orders.
  • Monitor access points and shipping and receiving traffic by verifying identification, directing visitors to designated areas, and documenting entries and exits as required.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant updates during post transitions, and support compliance with site rules for people and property.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access Control and/or Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
