Our organization, Rotorcraft Turboshaft & Turboprop Engineering (RTPE), focuses on Systems & Design Engineering for CT7, T700, T408, T64, and T58 engine families, supporting the helicopter business across commercial and military platforms worldwide, including, but not limited to, Black Hawk, CH-53E/K, Apache, CN-235, and Marine One. These programs provide critical products, services, and technical support for essential missions, such as defense, firefighting, emergency relief, search & rescue and more. The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience and/or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals as a design engineer or hardware owner for Mechanical Systems - External Configurations Engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects and tasks using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project.
  • Develop, propose, and execute analysis plans for small tasks and large projects.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and issues.
  • Propose solutions and participate in projects to build team capability and improve process efficiency.
  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant engineering role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a mechanical design engineering role
  • Demonstrates basic External Configurations domain expertise in technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated expertise in design and analysis tools, such as Unigraphics/NX, ANSYS classic.
  • Experience and familiarity with GD&T principles and reading drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Ability to coordinate and adjust priorities based on business need.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Demonstrates basic organizational and task management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with changing priorities

The base pay range for this position is $ 104, , The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on January 5th, 2026.
