House Manager Position Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.
• Teach skills and coach individuals for the purpose of increasing independence.
• Ensures that meds are given in a timely manner during any scheduled alone time and tracks these med passes for communication to the Regional Manager.
• Assist in medication administration, medication refills and making doctor's appointments.
• Assist in reviewing client HPC & MAR documentation for accuracy and completeness each month.
• Must take ownership and complete monthly schedule and ensure all shifts are filled. Includes finding coverage for all shifts and covering when staff is unable to fill.
• Must track when staff is absent, tardy or calls off for shifts and ensure the proper disciplinary action is taken
• Must ensure staff has been adequately oriented and trained to perform their jobs. This includes first day in-person training and training on medications.
• Must communicate with Regional Director relevant updates on status of staff and clients.
• Must be able to carry out duties without direct supervision.
• Must be responsible, flexible and possess good decision-making, time management and communication skills.
• Experience working in the field of developmental disabilities and supervisory experience preferred.
• Monitor, coordinate and assure all services to the individuals are delivered, communicated and coordinated, on a daily basis.
• Provide daily supervision and oversight of all staff.
• Monitor and assure that daily health care and nutritional needs are met. Assure the coordination and communication of changes in services, hospitalizations and other issues.
• Monitor and manage the cleanliness, organization and upkeep of the home.
• Assure compliance with emergency procedure requirements.
• Promote a positive cooperative relationship with team members, vendors, neighbors, law enforcement and emergency personnel.
• Monitor and assure all budgeting and spending accounts are managed, collected and reported as required.
• Must be flexible in responding to the needs of the individuals and staff.
• Must be available to respond to calls that occur outside of working hours.
• Outside of designated on-call times the House Manager is expected to be accessible to consumers, families, and staff, including weekends.
• Must coordinate a weekly team call with staff.
