Part Time Teller

Job Title: Part Time Teller

Department: Retail Operations

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Salary: $18 - $22/hour

Schedule: In-office (up to 25 hours a week)

Position Summary:

Responsible for processing customer transactions as well as informing customers about a variety of Bank products and services. Bank Tellers must be able to interact with customers in a professional and knowledgeable manner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process customer transactions, cashing checks and handling deposits, withdrawals, money orders, and cashier's checks.
  • Accurately and efficiently handle cash and balance a cash drawer on a daily basis.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in response to customer needs and requests
  • Refer potential sales opportunities and more complex customer service issues to Bank management
  • Help build customer loyalty through friendliness and service.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, Bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy act, Anti Money Laundering laws, Office of Foreign Asset Control requirements and other regulatory requirements

Background and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to make sound judgments based on given information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience working with the general public required
  • Prior experience in retail or cash handling roles
  • Computer Savvy
  • Must be customer-focused
  • Must detail-oriented and able to work with numbers quickly and accurately
  • Basic Accounting knowledge a plus
