Respiratory Therapy Clinical Co-op Student: GMC

Apply today to gain valuable experience during your senior year The co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for high school students. The student will work with a preceptor, and is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of patient care tasks. The performance of tasks allows the care team to provide quality care.
Job Duties- The position will focus on providing patient care within a clinical scope of practice.
- Fulfills designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care (non-assessment).
- Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to standards.
- Assists with patient transfer and transport as needed.
- Assists in problem solving, trouble shooting, and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Assists in clerical responsibilities as required for task completion.
- Suggests issues for improvement and offer solutions on issues.

Position DetailsThis is for the Respiratory Therapy Co-op positions at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital (GBH), and Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital (GSACH).
- A resume is required to move forward with application process.
- High school juniorstudents must apply to this program their junior year to complete the co-op as a senior during the academic school year.
- Co-op students must attend a mandatory orientation (date will be provided to students upon offer). Co-op hours will begin in September.
