JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for operating a Jet Press in a fast-paced print production environment. The Jet Press Operator will ensure the efficient and high-quality production of printed materials while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of printing processes, color management, and machine operation.

Responsibilities and Activities:

• Operates and maintains the Jet Press printing press, including pre-flight checks, print job setup, ink management, and routine maintenance.
• Performs quality control checks throughout the print run to ensure color accuracy, registration, and image quality meet customer specifications.
• Troubleshoots printing issues and performs minor adjustments or repairs to the press as needed.
• Monitors and maintains adequate levels of printing supplies, including inks, coatings, and substrates.
• Interprets and follows job instructions and specifications.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area around the press.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and regulations.
• Communicates effectively with colleagues and supervisors regarding job progress, potential issues, and maintenance needs.
• Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience operating printing presses, with experience on a Jet Press highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of printing principles, color management, and print finishing processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to install, maintain, and repair equipment following safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of predictive and productive maintenance systems
• Able to stand for long periods, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
• Able to move and lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Able to stand on concrete for 10-12 hours.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow written and verbal instructions. Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and be accountable for quality
• Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Adherence to safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out and HazCom) and departmental SOPs.

Shift: 7am-3pm
