Security Manager

Job Overview:

The Security Manager shall manage all the security activities and a team of Security Officers. The Security Manager is responsible for the security functions for the property to ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages and directs EMT/Security team in a casino environment
• Manages the dispatch of all aspects of the casino staffing including radio control
• Schedules the activities of an EMT/Security team ensuring appropriate coverage of the casino property
• Maintains a written log of incidents involving guests or employees and prepares additional detailed reports as required
• Provides Key Control and Coordinates all gaming facility keys
• Stays in compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), regulations and requirements
• Verifies gaming machine access; Verifies gaming machine pay out verification logs meet all requirements of the Gaming Commission
• Manages all aspects of guest and employee safety
• Reports employee violations of established policies and procedures, directives and Minimum Control Standards
• Communicates emergency procedures; Maintains entrance/exit door security and crowd control according to SOP's implemented by the MICS of the facilities
• Maintains customer log of banned individuals
• Supervises EMT/Security staff as well as motivates, trains and mentors staff employees
• Builds strong working relationships with directors and managers throughout the organization
• Coordinates with local police on armored truck arrivals
• Maintains staffing time and attendance and budgets for the department
• Reports directly to General Manager all information pertaining to Safety and Security
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

• Bachelor's Degree in Related Field AND two (2) years' Security/ Law Enforcement Supervisory experience– required

o OR Four (4) years' experience in a Security/ Law Enforcement Management position– required

o OR Four (4) years' experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality– required

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in law enforcement, public safety administration, active-duty military security functions, corrections or other security capacity– required
• Two (2) years of experience in customer relations or guest services– required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to Counsel, guide, train, and instruct assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties
• Work well with manual and automated systems and develops or implements procedures, formats, budgets, testing, training, and documentation
• Ability to develop and modify Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Provides project leadership and project management as assigned
• Continually seeks new methods and programs to promote Safety and Security of the property as a whole
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds; Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test if administered
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
