The Belt/Band Packer is responsible for handling a variety of products, ensuring each item is accurately packaged and labeled according to specific customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of abrasive products manufactured within the Belt department.
  • Accurately pull items from inventory based on paper order forms.
  • Perform final quality checks to ensure seams are properly pressed and edges are free of defects.
  • Manually count and verify quantities to match order specifications.
  • Select and assemble appropriate box sizes to accommodate various product orders.
  • Enter order details into the computer system to generate accurate shipping labels.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and management to support efficient product manufacturing.
  • Retrieve tubes for cutters, ensuring correct diameter, grit, abrasive material, and quantity to fulfill order requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to accurately read a ruler and operate a scale for measurement tasks.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
