Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in both fine dining and catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to menu planning. This role requires a commitment to excellence and a collaborative spirit within the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in menu planning and development with the culinary team
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
  • Handle food products safely and efficiently, adhering to proper food handling techniques
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed
  • Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality service

Skills

  • Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or fine dining settings
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Excellent knife skills for efficient food preparation
  • Experience in dietary department or as a dietary aide is a plus
  • Ability to plan menus creatively while considering dietary restrictions
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within a team
