IMS Recruiting is seeking a
Senior Electrical Engineer
to support the sustainment and redesign of legacy electronic and avionics systems within a leading aerospace manufacturer. This role focuses on circuit design, PCB layout, and product lifecycle management for high-reliability aerospace components.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead redesign and sustainment of existing electronic systems and circuit boards.
  • Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit analysis for analog and mixed-signal designs.
  • Develop interposer and replacement solutions for obsolete components.
  • Prepare SOWs, product specifications, verification/validation plans, and test documentation.
  • Conduct design reviews (PDR/CDR) and ensure AS9100 compliance.
  • Provide engineering support across design, test, and production teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) + 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in analog circuit design (power supplies, linear/discrete circuits, etc.).
  • Experience with electrical CAD tools (Altium, OrCAD, or Mentor Graphics).
  • Hands-on PCB layout and troubleshooting expertise.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Experience:

  • RF, CPLD/FPGA, or firmware design experience.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and RTCA DO-160 testing.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
