Overview:

A leading global brokerage and financial services firm is seeking an experienced
Operations / Settlements Analyst
to join their growing New York team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced, front-to-back trading environment supporting a wide range of fixed income and equities products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trade support and settlements, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with trading desks, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure smooth post-trade operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full trade lifecycle from trade capture through to settlement, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
  • Liaise with trading, sales, middle office, and external counterparties to resolve trade discrepancies and settlement breaks.
  • Monitor and reconcile daily trade activity, identifying and escalating any operational issues or risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade confirmations, allocations, and settlements.
  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • 5–8 years' experience in Operations, Trade Support, or Settlements within a financial services or brokerage environment.
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle processes across fixed income and/or equity products.
  • Experience working with US and international markets, including DTC and Euroclear settlements (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with trade capture or settlement systems is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
