Summary:

The Team Member is a key operational role responsible for executing various tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This includes working the line, managing high-volume service on the flat top and fryer, assisting with prep, and supporting teammates across multiple functions. Team Members are expected to remain adaptable, proactive, and collaborative — often managing several responsibilities simultaneously to maintain smooth, efficient service. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with eligibility for tips.

What You'll Do:

  • Work the line, flat top, and fryer stations during peak hours with urgency and consistency.
  • Assist with prep responsibilities and station setup to ensure readiness before each shift.
  • Maintain strict quality, presentation, and timing standards during high-volume service.
  • Communicate clearly with teammates and adjust quickly to shifting needs across the kitchen.
  • Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized throughout your shift.
  • Support your crew — step in where needed, stay productive during downtime, and elevate team flow.
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and operational protocols at all times.
  • Represent Surefire Market with focus, professionalism, and a high standard of execution.

  • Proven experience in high-volume kitchens or fast-paced back-of-house environments.
  • Comfortable managing multiple roles — from cooking to prep to cleaning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills — team-first mindset is non-negotiable.
  • Coachable, dependable, and fast to adapt — feedback is fuel.
  • Composed under pressure — you perform when the line gets slammed.
  • Physically able to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Committed to delivering consistency, cleanliness, and high output.
