Pediatric Medical Assistant

We are a non-profit medical mobile unit seeking a part-time Certified Pediatric Medical Assistant to start immediately to become a part of our team Our mobile unit services Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton, and Rockdale Counties. Candidate must have reliable transportation. You will perform routine clinical assignments to keep our pediatric medical facility running smoothly, as well as some front office duties such as patient registration, appointment confirmation, and data entry.
Responsibilities:
- Pediatric experience
- Experience with vaccine administration
- Escort patients to the exam room
- Triage patients and obtain vitals, medications, etc, and enter them into the EMR
- Provide immunizations to the patients as ordered by the provider
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Provide ancillary testing to patients as ordered by the provider.
- Pick up vaccines from the Clarkston office
- Schedule patients and follow up to confirm appointments
- Register new patients at community events
- Answer incoming calls in a pleasant and professional manner
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with eClinicalWorks preferred
- Previous experience with Phreesia preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual is a plus
- Some weekend availability is preferred
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- At least one year of previous experience as a certified/registered medical assistant in a medical office
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology
- Previous experience in the pediatric medical field preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
