Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail enhancements with precision and care.
  • Create customized nail art designs using color theory principles to match client preferences and current trends.
  • Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly disinfecting tools and workstations to ensure client safety and hygiene compliance.
  • Assist clients in selecting nail colors, designs, and treatments that enhance their personal style while upselling additional services such as body waxing or eyelash extensions.
  • Stay current with industry trends in nail art, color combinations, and new techniques to offer innovative options to clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service by listening attentively to client needs, offering professional advice, and ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.
  • Manage retail sales of nail products, skincare items, and other beauty accessories using retail math skills to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Support the overall salon environment by collaborating with team members on promotions or special events related to nail care or other beauty services.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Nail Technician or in a similar beauty role is preferred; however, enthusiastic newcomers with relevant cosmetology training are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of color theory, nail care techniques, sanitation protocols, and current beauty trends is essential.
  • Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing required where applicable by law.
  • Familiarity with advanced treatments such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills are vital for understanding client needs and providing clear guidance on services and aftercare.
  • Ability to perform multiple services including hair extensions, hair styling, hair threading, body waxing, barbering techniques, eyelash extensions, and dermabrasion enhances versatility within the role.
