We are currently seeking an engaged and passionate professional to serve as Maintenance Supervisor to Ellerslie with a combined 117 units.  The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations at multiple properties.  This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, developing and implementing maintenance strategies, ensuring the reliability of equipment and facilities, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in maintenance management, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in maintenance operations.

Under the direction of the Community Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for:

Essential Functions:
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the maintenance team at several properties.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback team members.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and efficiency of equipment and facilities over several properties.
  • Complete, coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities, with a focus on preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Collaborate with manager(s) on maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Develop long-term maintenance strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with overall operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of equipment and facilities. 
  • Address and resolve any safety concerns or hazards promptly.
  • Provide training and resources to maintenance staff on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of external service providers.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management position.
  • Experience in managing maintenance operations in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g. Real Page)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations

Salary: $70 - 75k/yr
