Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves effectively.
  • Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume.
  • Ensure a clean and organized shopping environment by regularly tidying up the sales floor.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store environment.
  • Proficiency in operating POS systems and performing cashier duties.
  • Ability to demonstrate products confidently to enhance customer understanding.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, allowing for better service to diverse customers.
  • Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays.
  • Experience with supervising staff or leading a team is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
