Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Professional Housekeeper for our household of 2 adults, children, and pets. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in a home of 5000+ sq ft and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional service to homeowners while ensuring their spaces are spotless, comfortable, and welcoming. Candidates with a passion for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and customer satisfaction will excel.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces (common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms) including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and all surfaces.
  • Daily Tidying Up: picking up toys, decluttering, making beds.
  • Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing; packing/unpacking suitcases from travel.
  • Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, and carpet cleaning as needed.
  • Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks including dishwashing and surface sanitation, taking out trash, recycling, compost.
  • Ensure all sanitation standards are met to promote a healthy environment, using the homeowners supplies and equipment.
  • Taking in grocery deliveries and unpacking, washing and stocking into home, as well as other deliveries.
  • Manage custodial tasks such as restocking supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs professionally and courteously.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Reporting maintenance issues as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospitality environments such as homes, hotels or other facilities.
  • Skills in floor care, carpet cleaning, sanitation, and general housekeeping procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • The ability to take directions and to implement specific instructions efficiently.
  • Customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Experience with laundry operations and with sorting, organizing wardrobes.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus.
