Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers/Companions to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
  • Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care needs.
  • Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary for safe patient transfers.
  • Develop and follow care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
  • Provide companionship through conversation, recreational activities, and social engagement.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:

  • First aid and CPR certification is preferred But not required.
  • Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or hospice care settings.
  • Familiarity with home health care practices and senior care techniques.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
  • Strong patient observation skills to monitor health changes effectively.
