What You'll Do:

• Provide outstanding customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, following established protocols.
• Prepare clear and detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at the government site.
• Adhere to all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and training requirements relevant to armed patrol assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
