Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively with both the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team will be essential in maintaining our high standards of guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
  • Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, ensuring all orders are accurately fulfilled.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food handling and presentation standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with guests regarding their orders, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Assist with setting up for banquets or special events as needed.
  • Operate POS systems for order tracking when required.

Experience

  • Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred, particularly within a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety standards is essential.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are critical for success in this role.
  • A background in cooking or culinary arts is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is key.
